Unit 1: The Prophets

✨ Lesson 2: Isaiah & Jeremiah ✨

👋 Welcome Back!

Now that you know what a prophet is, let's meet two very important prophets: Isaiah and Jeremiah. They both had powerful messages from God for His people!
🤔 Think about this:

If people in your community were doing wrong things and refusing to listen, what kind of message would they need?

Would they need a warning, some correction, or encouragement to change?

That is exactly what Isaiah and Jeremiah brought — bold messages of warning and hope!

📖 The Mission of Isaiah

🌟 Isaiah — Prophet of Judah & Jerusalem 🌟

Isaiah was sent by God to warn the people of Judah and Jerusalem that their sinful behaviour would bring punishment if they did not change.

📖 Bible Reference: Isaiah 3:16–26
Isaiah spoke against pride, selfishness, and disobedience. He warned that those living proudly would lose their beauty, wealth, and comfort because of God's judgment.
💡 Isaiah's Message: Stop rebelling against God. Stop living in pride. Turn back to God before punishment comes!

✨ What Isaiah Taught

Isaiah's message is a warning, but it also teaches beautiful values:

🙏Repentance
Obedience
🕊️Humility
❤️Faithfulness to God
Isaiah wanted people to turn away from pride and disobedience, and return to God with humble hearts.

📖 The Mission of Jeremiah

🌊 Jeremiah — Prophet of Repentance 🌊

Jeremiah's mission was to warn the people of Jerusalem and Judah against idol worship and turning away from God. He called them to repent and return.

📖 Key Bible Passages:
Jeremiah 1:1–19 — God called Jeremiah before he was born to speak to nations.
Jeremiah 2:9–13 — The people had abandoned God and followed worthless things.
Jeremiah 4:1–4 — Jeremiah calls people to return to God with sincere hearts.
💡 Word Tip: Idol worship — worshipping false gods or images instead of the true God.

✨ What Jeremiah Taught

🙌Worship God alone
🚫Turn away from sin
🕊️Live with reverence
🤝Love & protect others
🏺 Imagine being in Judah during the time of Isaiah and Jeremiah...

People are becoming proud. Some are worshipping idols. Others no longer care about obeying God.

Then a prophet comes and says, "If you do not change, punishment is coming."

That message was not easy to hear — but it was meant to save the people, not destroy them.
